Wow...

Ok, so I didn't see The Spooklight, we had a lot of fun driving around and yelling "I'm The Spooklight" at people though. Kind of disappointing, luckily on the same night I had one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Believe it or not I saw the single greatest concert of my life. Lets start from the beginning...

Blindside is one of my favorite bands (I have a lot), I've been following them for several years but since they are from Sweeden and I've never had the chance to see them in concert. I judge a lot about a band by how they play live, I don't like listening to "studio bands". I love the experience of seeing a really good live show.

We're basically caught up... After taking several wrong turns, we made it to The Foundry, I was first timer here and really enjoyed the atmosphere. So we're chillin' and listening to the opening band, The Radiance Effect and we realize... these guys are pretty great for openers and locals. Not to say we have a bunch of terrible bands in the area, but generally the first opener for concerts haven't been that great. Then another band, who never mentioned their name, played and they were pretty good as well.

Then Edison Glass came out and played and man those guys were great, they have to vocalists with fantastic range. They played my favorite song of theirs which made me happy, I thoroughly enjoyed their show.

Ok, now this is when things went from good to THE GREATEST SHOW EVER. Blindside. As mentioned before, I have never seen them live before so I had no idea what to expect. I'm sure if I did have any expectations they would have been blown out of the water. They were completely breath-taking. I mean I've seen some pretty awesome concerts, but I can't believe how much more superior this concert was. I love just about every Blindside song so it really didn't matter what they played. They rocked, they rocked so much there wasn't single person in the place that wasn't going crazy. It was the best fan interaction of any show I've seen.

One of the factors was that there was no security at all. Basically, there were a very short set of rules and there were some guys there that could enforce them, but no seemed to test the limits. We got some footage of the show, so hopefully in the near future I can post some.

Still a little stunned by it all...
