There's a little ghost town about an hour and a half from here on the Oklahoma border, that supposedly has a ghostlight. It is considered one of the most famous in the country and is commonly just referred to to as "The Spooklight". There are many, many stories all over the interweb that describe experiences with The Spooklight. There have been many people that have tried to explain it, but thus far there is not a good one. There have been many people that believe it is just car headlights light refracting off of the landscape from a distant highway in Oklahoma. The only problem with this theory is that there have been sighting of The Spooklight since the 1880's, which would rule out cars.
I've been out there several times, to the areas that The Spooklight shows up, but unfotunately haven't seen a thing. Several of my friends have been and have seen it and even have pictures. Let me show you a few...

It's mutating!!!!

Headlights can't do that, I've tried.
The last two here are obviously the most amazing, but to see the progression... wow.
So what's the point of all of this? I'm heading back out there Friday, maybe I'll get lucky and see it. Maybe not, either way it's amazing how much fun you can have waiting for a mystical light to appear. Wish me luck and safety. I will update you all after I get back.

Good luck dude. I hope you get to see it again. Although I will warn you that on a Friday night, this close to Halloween, there may be too many drunk teenagers creating too much chaos for a good sighting.
Yee Haw!
And good point, Kristy. :(
I just wanted to say Yee Haw.
